Two Georgia men wanted for child molestation

Two men wanted for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl are considered extremely armed and dangerous – and one of them has vowed never to return to jail.

Donald Mac Brown, 34, and David Wesley Crawford, 57, are wanted in Newton County (GA) for child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and solicitation of sodomy, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday.

Mr. Brown is also wanted by Conyers police for sexual exploitation of a minor.

They are both aware that they are wanted, according to the U.S. Marshall’s Office Supervisory Inspector Mr. Jim Joyner.

There is a $1,000 Crime Stoppers Reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of both or either of these two men.

Mr. Brown has stated he will not go back to jail, Mr. Joyner said. And they are both suspected to be armed with firearms and knives.

Newton County found out about the suspects after Conyers police contacted them about a possible child molestation case in their area, the sheriff’s spokeswoman Deputy Cortney Morrison said.

Investigators were able to confirm that a five-year-old girl who is known to the suspects was molested in the latter part of November at a home in Newton County, Deputy Morrison said.

They took out the warrants for the men’s arrest.

The family believes the men may be hiding in the wooded areas of Newton County. The two are possibly occupying a white 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck with a Georgia tag, plate number BZX9023.

“As both of these individuals are considered armed and extremely dangerous, members of the public are advised to not make contact with either of them,” Mr. Joyner said.

Mr. Brown is white with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 245 pounds. Mr. Crawford is white with blue eyes and is predominantly bald. He is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 135 pounds.
