Greensboro, NC — Greensboro Police are asking for help to solve a cold case homicide from 1997.
On April 28, 1997 Robert “Mickey” Ledwell, 29, was found shot dead in the doorway of his apartment in the Overland Heights area.
Greensboro Police are looking for information that will help them in their investigation of the case and will lead to an arrest.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for infomation that leads to an arrest or indictment. A Governor’s Reward of up to $5,000 leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible was also added to the case by then Governor James B. Hunt in 1997. This increases the possible reward to up to $7,000 in this case.
