This is a personal request, written by the mother of missing 23-year-old Oregon man Chase Johnson Cook. Chase disappeared in June of this year and has not been seen or heard from since. In her own words, Brenda Johnson asks for help in locating her son:
You haven’t been in hell until you have to walk up to people with a poster and say “Have you seen my son?”
My son, Chase Cook, has been missing since the night of Sunday, June 24 and I need your help. We are spreading the word in case someone spots him or his GMC pick-up. His actions are extremely alarming as he has always been consistent and predictable, but he was layed off about 6 months ago and slipped into a very reclusive life. He drove away without a word, leaving his apartment open. We are desperate to find him as he may need some help. A missing persons report has been filed, but I’m reaching out to my community to help me.
Please contact me if you recognize the truck or Chase. The truck was last spotted on Hwy 238 – parked on the side of the road. A neighbor saw someone working on the engine. There was a tow tag on the window, but Chase (or someone else) moved the truck before it was towed and before the police could get to it. No confirmed sightings since then. Search and Rescue was out there and they also went through part of John’s Peak since they found GPS coordinates on Chase’s computer for John’s Peak. Police are on stand-by until they get a lead.
We’ve had a couple of calls from people who think they saw the truck again on William’s Highway heading towards Williams, but no confirmation on the plate.
Chase was last seen wearing the hat that’s in the picture and the black hoodie. Lets get him to safety or convince him to call home. 541.482.6896
There is a $3,000 Reward for information leading to his safe recovery.
Chase Cook is 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. The last confirmed sighting was in Medford, OR, on Saturday, June 23rd of this year. Chase was last seen driving his blue and white GMC pickup truck, license # YUF 382.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Terry Newell with the Medford Police Department at (541) 774-2238.
Thank you to Layne Lasseter and Max Cannon from CrimePay$/Reward$TV.net for sharing Chase and Brenda’s story.
