(HARRISONBURG, VA) — On November 4, 2012, at approximately 4:15 pm, the Harrisonburg Police Department took a report of an assault that occurred in the area of the Food Lion Parking lot on Port Republic Road in the City of Harrisonburg.
The victim reported that at approximately 1:00 am on the morning of the 4th, the victim was returning to his vehicle in the Food Lion parking lot after leaving a party at off-campus housing.
As the victim approached the vehicle, the victim exchanged words with another male
and as a result the victim was assaulted. The victim was then transported to the
hospital by a friend for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect in this case is described as a black male, approximately 6’3”-6’5” and
weighing approximately 300lbs. The suspect, along with several of his acquaintances, who were not involved in the assault, left the scene in a silver in color late model Ford pickup.
It is believed that alcohol may have played a role in this assault.
